2020 COVID-19 EMERGENCY ONE-YEAR GRANTS
FIELDS OF FUNDING
Housing • Food Security • Safety • Mental Health • Children’s Welfare • Financial Counseling
$100,000
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic which dramatically impacted Essex County, The Women’s Fund made a strategic decision to alter its 2020 grant process. Recognizing that the types of programs we have typically funded were in jeopardy, we made emergency grants to frontline agencies that were able to deliver the most critical human services: Housing, Food Security, Safety, Mental Health, Children’s Welfare and Financial Counseling.
The following agencies were awarded one-time unrestricted grants to assist them through the COVID-19 pandemic. Each agency had applied for a 2020 programmatic grant and had been thoroughly vetted by our Grants Allocation Committee. Removing the restrictions from the grants, it is our hope that these emergency funds will primarily help women and girls in Essex County.
